Elephant Shrew Comics doors are always open to new and returning creators from ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
Please read the following paragraphs to find all the key details in hiring our services to publish your work.
Elephant Shrew Comics only publishes creator-owned comics.
We do not hire creators to work on our comics, the creators will be the ones hiring our services to publish their original work. This services include printing, binding, promoting and distributing. Do not send us any original work by traditional mail, IT WILL NOT BE RETURNED.
Elephant Shrew Comics does not pay page rates.
You are hiring us to to print, bind, promote and distribute your original work. Our services aren't free either. There is a fee that needs to be paid in total for us to do all of the above, but this same fee can be paid in smaller installments to help the creators achieve their goal. While the fee is being paid in smaller installments we will not print, bind or distribute any work until the final payment is done but we will promote it.
We do not take any percentage of your royalties, they belong 100% to the creators until they see any profit.
After the fee for hiring our services is paid in total, we will start publishing your work. It will be distributed to our partner comic book shops and any return from your work, it will be paid in total to the creators until their investment as seen any return, after that we will take a small fee of 10% from any sale.
We will offer our advice to you.
Us offering you our advice or perspective on your work, does not mean that you have to accept it and make any changes. In the end it is your creation and you do what you think is best for it's success.

PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Include contact information, name, e-mail address, address, phone (Whatsapp if outside UK) clearly printed on the top of the page. Submissions are responded to via e-mail only.
- A typed, one page maximum synopsis of the overall story arc (not just of the first issue). Please keep this as brief as possible and do include major plot points and spoilers. Be clear as to who the target audience is (“Everyone” is not realistic). Tell us whether you see it as a full color or a black-and-white book, a miniseries or an ongoing series, a prestige book or an original graphic novel.

KEEP IN MIND:
- Any changes to your team need to be reported before we start printing.
- In the case of a high volume of submissions, we will be unable to respond to each proposal individually. If you do not receive a reply within one month of submitting, consider your proposal declined, please send it again. If you do not include an e-mail address in your proposal it will automatically be declined.
- We are not looking for any specific genre of comic book.
- Elephant Shrew Comics doesn't own your intellectual properties, you can be assured that accepted or not your property will remain yours.
